Fridaythorpe Parish Council has duties and obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). Fridaythorpe Parish Council is fully committed to complying with the Act. The aim of the Freedom of Information Act is to promote a culture of openness and accountability amongst public authorities by providing people with rights of access to the information held by them. These rights will facilitate better understanding of how public authorities carry out their duties, why they make the decisions they do and how they spend public money.
Residents may request information about the council at any time and should do so in writing to the Parish Clerk.
All requests will be considered and responded to and there may be an administrative charge to cover costs depending on the request received.
